Pre-Construction

Termites are incredibly destructive. There are certain steps that can be taken prior to the construction of a building to help prevent a future infestation. A treatment should be applied to the soil in the earliest stages to pave the way for later work that occurs in various stages. Stage 1: Before the ground slab is constructed, the base layer of soil will be treated with a chemical emulsion at a rate of 1-2 liters per square meter before any concrete is poured or sub-grade is laid. This concentration of the chemical is lethal to termites.

Stage 2: After the horizontal barrier of the top surface of the plinth, the next step is to treat the consolidated earth plinth with the chemical emulsion at a rate of 2-4 liters per square meter before the sub-grade is laid and creates a horizontal barrier that acts as a repellant to termites.
